Visitor () says: • The service I received at Swifty Printing was extremely rude. I needed a bound book trimmed down on 3 sides to a smaller size, and the man at the counter cut off all 4 sides, meaning I no longer had a book, I now have 400+ loose pages. When I told him this is not what I wanted, he offered to charge me to bind it (with a plastic spiral bind). I said no, he had obviously messed up, so I should not have to pay for this. He then accused me of never wanting to pay for the trimming and walked away. He did not try to rectify the situation or make me a happy customer. He seemed perfectly content that he was right and I was apparently only trying to ruin my own book. I will never go there again, and I suggest you not either. Visitor () says: • Well at least he offered to bind it. Mistakes happen and at that point the book was ruined and perhaps admitting guilt would have opened him up to the boss' wrath. A lot of these little copy places are staffed by minimum wagers who don't have ANY authority to do anything for free and are too desperate to risk being fired for it. Being ridiculously clear about what you want done is often your only defense. Visitor () says: • It may be helpful to be ridiculously clear, the question is how much obvious is enough. I need a book redone, I am glad to benefit of the previous negative experience of the customer - I will avoid this printing shop. |
